League Information & History
Austin Metro Baseball League has been part of the Central Texas baseball scene for decades, giving adult players a place to keep competing in a true hardball environment. What started as a local men's baseball league has grown into one of the most established adult baseball communities in the region.
AMBL is organized around age divisions so players can compete against teams with similar experience, pace, and expectations. Older players may still play in younger divisions, and many high-level players do, but the division structure helps keep the league competitive and sustainable across a wide range of ages.
The league season traditionally runs from spring into late summer, with regular-season games leading into playoff series where division champions are earned on the field. Games are played on quality Austin-area fields on weeknights and weekends, giving players a true player's-league experience.
AMBL is affiliated with the Men's Senior Baseball League / Men's Adult Baseball League national organization, connecting Austin players to a broader baseball network that includes regional tournaments, national tournaments, and destination events such as the MSBL World Series and Fall Classic.
Beyond the standings, AMBL has always been about good people, strong friendships, and competitive baseball. The league has invested in local fields, supported community causes, and helped keep adult baseball alive and thriving in Austin.
